IFC in partnership with BB to increase energy finance

International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, has formed a partnership with the Bangladesh Bank (BB) and local financial institutions to introduce systemic change in the way banks do business to increase investments in sustainable energy finance.

PM promised power crisis less country by 2011

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday last said the country would get rid of power crisis by 2011 as 1,487MW of power will be generated and added to the national grid by then.
